TEAM AWESOME REVISITED

Almost a year ago, I wrote a blog post about some of the blogs that I really enjoyed reading.

Being the sports nut that I am, of course these blogs had to have a special name.

They’re known as my Team Awesome .

This blog post brings you some more of the blogs that I enjoy reading.

I hope you get the chance to see what these blogs are all about, so I’m also going to give you the web address for these blogs as well.

Definately check them out when you get the chance .

1. Tashnee V. Mavee- Journey of My Life

Tashnee’s blog is just that. Her own personal journey. Besides her inspirational stories, she makes my Team Awesome list because of her great fashion sense.

2. Forresting 365- Forresting My Cloud

Besides all that great art that’s on her blog, and the beautiful poetry, Katy and I share a love of all things football. Me, my New England Patriots , Katy, all things that are the Atlanta Falcons .

3. Renard Moreau- Renard’s World

I just really discovered this blog and I wish that I had discovered it earlier. If you’re thinking about starting a blog or even if you aren’t a newbie, this blog with its great blogging tips are for you. I highly recommend that you check it out.

4. Ayanna Robinson- Style in Full Bloom

Ayanna’s blog is about what her title says it is. Style. Music, fashion, lifestyle, etc. To say that I don’t enjoy reading her fashion tips would be a lie. I enjoy especially when she highlights what to wear for the different seasons.

5. Shamylah Zimuto- Shamylah’s World

Her blog introduces you not only to makeup tips, but also the movers and shakers in the business world, and quotes from them. The fact that the business people are mostly women is a plus in my book. My personal favorite posts of Shamylah’s are her music playlist posts, which occur every Wednesday and highlight some of her favorite songs and songs that you should be listening to. (Thank you, Shamylah for introducing me to the music of Post Malone, Cardi B and Dua Lipa.)

6. Airport and Hotels Blog

This blog is actually about what the title says. Any information you want to know about an airport or a hotel, this is your blog. It’s not only the well known airports they talk about, it’s even the ones that you’ve never heard of.

7. Globetrotting Grandpa

Don’t let the name fool you. Dan isn’t ready for the rocking chair just yet. He’s going to travel, and just like my motto, “Staying home isn’t an option “, it’s not for Dan either. He not only explores other cities and countries, he goes on his own 30 Plus Teams Tour of his home town. (Shout out to Dan’s home town of Kansas City , Missouri . )

8. National Parks With T- National Parks USA

If you live in the United States , chances are there’s a National Park in your home town, and T and her family have visited it. Many of the parks that T and her family have visited, such as Fort Sumpter, Bunker Hill, Yellowstone and the Grand Canyon are on my official and “unofficial ” bucket lists.

9. Ken Dowell- Off the Leash

If you want a blog that’s mixed with a little history, Ken’s blog is for you. He not only gives you tips on what to see, but the history of the place you’re going to visit. He also gives you some technology tips as well. Oh, did I mention that he blogs about baseball as well?

10. Sam, Living

His blog website is My life without religion. Please don’t let that possibly turn you off to reading this blog. It shouldn’t. Sam has a lot to say, and most of it has nothing to do with religion . He talks about his traveling experience , like working on a farm in Australia . He has done a lot of traveling and has even visited that most “foreign” of cities, Lubbock , Texas.

11. Bill Fonda- A Silly Place

What a cute title, you think. Bill is showing his humorous side, whether it be driving down the streets of Los Angeles in a bright yellow rental car that he called “the Banana Mobile ” or enjoying the Country and Western group Sugarland. His humor even helped him get through serious things such as a flood in his hometown . Bill writes from the heart, even though he calls his blog, “A Silly Place.”

12. Hunida’s Blog

You can’t keep it anymore real in your blog as my girl Hunida does in her blog, aptly called, “Hunida’s Blog.” She tells you EVERYTHING in her blog, the good, the bad, and the really ugly. Nothing is held back. I love her posts about her job, her food recipes , not to mention her life with her significant other and her cat. She reviews beauty products, movies, books, songs, t.v shows and my special favorite , where to go and what to eat in my favorite city , her home town, Las Vegas .

This was the latest edition of Team Awesome .

Since I really don’t do blogger awards anymore, this is as close as you’re going to get.

Team Awesome is going to be a new blog feature in 30 Plus Teams 30 Plus Dreams.

So if you didn’t get mentioned this time, no worries.

There are so many new blogs out there and I try to read as many as I can.

In case you want to follow some of these blogs, do so.

It’s important that bloggers support other bloggers , so show some love to these bloggers and any bloggers that you happen to come across and really enjoy reading.

Your own “Team Awesome ” so to speak.

In the meantime, I’m going to give you the websites of my Team Awesome .

Check them out and thank you and God bless you for following and liking 30 Plus Teams , 30 Plus Dreams .

6. BayAreaBeautyBlogger.com

She lives in the Bay area of San Francisco ,  and not only tells you about the latest fashion  and makeup  tips, she tells you about the latest beauty products on the market  right now. My favorite  post by her was when she showed you what to wear when you attend a baseball  game , even if you aren’t  a baseball  fan. Gotta  love  it !

7. TheChallenge2017.blog

She calls her blog “The Real Stories- The Obstacles  “, and Yoly isn’t  kidding .  She talks about everything  sad, funny, and all those, ‘are you for real right now?’ moments in the lives of her and her family .  You real enjoy her “realness  “.

He states that his blog is about “travel, life, and people  “. Maybe it us, but I  can tell you  that his blog is much more than  that to me .  Not for nothing ,  but I  think that because  of  his excellent  blogging  tips and being a sounding board for my way too many blogging  questions ,  I’ve  been  able to step  up  my blogging  game. THANKS ROLAND !

9.Libertysfreedomblog.wordpress

Liberty states that her blog is about freedom of  speech  and besides her traveling  throughout  Europe ,  it is. But this blogger writes about very mature topics and makes a whole lot of sense, and to think she’s  15 years old.

16. Sendingpistcardshome.com

Raga and Nandita are a husband and wife pair of bloggers who travel everywhere and have the pictures to show you, just as though they had sent you  a postcard. I truly love the fact that when they travel, their parents sometimes go on these adventures  with them. What a blessing !

17. TheCampervanmsnblog.com

This blogger likes to  say that his blog is all about ‘a man, his van, and no plan’. Yeah, sometimes  he has no plan where he and his van are going to  go. He just goes .  Dude after my own heart .

18. PinkLogs.wordpress

This blog is all about fashion ,  beauty ,  and a big glimpse  of  Indian  culture .  I keep telling  the author ,  Swati ,  that she should be one of those Bollywood actresses .

19. UsedYorkCity.com

It’s  a blog about, you guessed it, New York  City   However the tips the author, Jessica,  gives you don’t  only apply  to  New York  City .  They can apply to  any city.

20. Shutupandgo.travel

Damon and Jo are speaking  my language here. Don’t  think  about where you want to  go, even if it’s  a day trip  or seeing  something  in your own town. If you have a few dollars to your name, just shut up  and  go!

Efren calls his blog “Crazy Stuff Happens  “, which is life from a married man’s  point of  view .  His blog makes you really appreciate  that guy in your life ,  whether  it’s  your son, brother , husband,  father, or boyfriend .  He also gives you the REAL reason why your boyfriend  or husband  cleans up the house real fast .

My last favorite  blog on Team Awesome  should come as no surprise  if you’ve  been following  my blog, or you know  me very well.

26. WingspanSports.com

These three cousins  live, breathe, eat, and sleep sports .

Sounds like the Sports  Diva 64  if you ask me !

There’s  more than covering the four major professional  sports leagues ,  they also cover college sports as well as the sports topics of the day. Like my blig, they also tell you what to do in a city while you’re  attending  that sporting event .

There you have my list of blogs that I  call my “Team Awesome  ”

What  blogs are on your Team Awesome  list?

Let me know and I’ll  definitely  follow  them as well .

As always    thanks for liking and reading my little  blig.

I so appreciate  your  support .

CAPITAL  JOURNEY  –  WASHINGTON ,  DC .  GETTING  TO KNOW  THE  NATION’S CAPITAL

Besides  New York  City ,  this city is the “Mother  of  All 30 Plus  Teams  Tours.”

It’s  the  city that’s  all about  the  three  M ‘ s  – Museums ,  Monuments ,  and Memorials .

It’s  that  city that isn’t  a  state ,  but it just happens  to  be  the  capital  of  the  United  States .

It’s  Washington ,  DC .

This of course ,  is a 30  Plus  Teams  Tour ,  so it’s  all about  the  sports  in town  also .

Just  like  politics, they take their  sports  VERY seriously  here.

It’s  a  sports  lovers  dream .

You’ve  got  four teams  to choose  from .

There’s  the  Wizards in basketball ,  the Capitals  in hockey ,  and the Nationals  in baseball .

It’s  very much about football  in this  town .

In a place where  politics dominates EVERYTHING, it’s  not that surprising  that  politics are going  to  creep into your 30 Plus  Teams  Tour  of  Washington  DC .

The football  team  is called the  Washington  Redskins .

Some people  would  like it if the team  would change their  name  to something  other than a name that some  folks  find very offensive .

Other folks  just wish that the people  who  are  complaining  about  the  team  name would just shut up  and go away so that they can enjoy watching  football .

You aren’t  here to get into  a  name debate of the football  team  though.

You might not even like  football  and came to see one of the other pro teams  in town .

More than likely ,  though , you’re here to see what the city is famous  for .

All those monuments ,  memorials ,  and museums .

Don’t  forget  to  bring  that camera  with you.

Washington  DC  is a photographer’s  dream ,  and you just know  that  you’re  going  to  be  posting  a lot of  Washington  DC on Instagram .

Please  remember  though, that when  you  visit  some  of  the  places that the city is famous  for , show some respect.

They’re  memorials .

Definately  respect  them.

There  are  lots of  museums  that are free here.

Even the National  Zoo is free, and don’t  tell  me  that  you  don’t  want to check out those adorable  Panda Bears.

Where in town  will you go first?

No matter  what  neighborhood ,  bring those sneakers  with you.

This is a very walkable  town, so don’t  be surprised  if  you  see lots of joggers.

They might even be your local  senator or congress person .

Of course the neighborhoods  that you’ll  want  to  see  are Capital  Hill, Georgetown ,  Dupont  Circle ,  the area around the  White  House ,  and maybe  even  the  Washington  DC  Waterfront .

How about  visiting  the  neighborhoods  that tourists rarely , if all visit?

Put U Street ,  Adams-Morgan, Anacostia ,  or the Eastern  Market on your list of neighborhoods  to visit .

If you  happen  to  come into town by Greyhound , Megabus  or Amtrak  train ,  check out the newly renovated  Union  Station ,  one of  the  largest  terminals in the country .

You could  get yourself  a day pass when you  take the Washington  Metro.

By the way ,  don’t  call it the subway, it’s the Washington  Metro  and you’ll  be  surprised  how clean it is.

Better yet ,  do what the good citizens  of DC do.

Get yourself  a reloadable Smart Card and get ready to  see as many monuments ,  memorials ,  and museums  as you can.

Just remember  to  hold onto your Smart Card because you’ll  need it not only to enter the train station ,  but to exit it as well .

Don’t  think  you can see all these attractions  in  one trip to DC.

You can’t ,  so don’t  even  think  about  it .

Get yourself  a  guidebook  before you arrive and make a list of  attractions  that you really  want  to  see .

Check if you need timed tickets ,  which are free in some cases, but because some of  the museums  get very crowded, they give you a time that’s  best to visit .

What should  you see if you don’t  have  that much time?

I  would  suggest  not only the ones that are on the National  Mall  like the Washington  Monument ,  Vietnam  Wall or Lincoln  Monument ,  visit some of the  museums that are part of the Smithsonian .

Their motto is, “So many museums ,  so little  time . ”

The  National  Zoo  is part of  the  Smithsonian ,  but if you’re  only in town for a day or two ,  the Zoo might  be  out of  the  question .

No matter  what  you  decide  to  do, enjoy  your stay in Washington  DC ,  whether  you’re  going  to  watch  a sporting  event  or if you’re  going  to  learn  a little  or a lot about United States  history .
