We’re still in the middle of the virus that won’t go away but many people in the United States are still traveling.
Even if you’re doing your own 30 Plus Teams Tour, one thing never changes.
Please do your research before you go away, especially now during this pandemic.
Here in the United States, every state has their own requirements for entering that state.
If you don’t follow or research the requirements, your own 30 Plus Teams Tour is going to be delayed, let alone ruined.
My two great neices, S and B, plus S’s almost two year old son, found that out the hard way, or at least my two great neices did.
(I’m only using their initials not to embarrass the heck out of them, but because both of them are on social media and S just happens to be a reality star.)
Anyway, they were all set to go to on a 13 hour flight from Miami to Honolulu.
Bags were packed for all three of them, tickets purchased, covid tests done for the three of them.
They were ready for luau and lei time .
Or so they thought.
When the flight landed, they discovered that somebody should have done their research on Hawaii’s requirements for entrance to the Hawaiian Islands from the mainland.
The test that the three of them took in Miami didn’t hold water for Hawaii.
Baby S didn’t even need to have another covid-19 test.
(Yes, I said ANOTHER COVID-19 test. At almost two, Baby Boy S has traveled more than his great great aunt, the Sports Diva, and unlike me, he travels in First Class always!)
As for my two great neices, they couldn’t enter Hawaii with the tests they had.
So they left Baby Boy S with his daddy, who was flying in from California, and who did his research.
My two great neices had to fly to another airport to get another covid-19 test that Hawaii would recognize.
They had to take an unscheduled 5 hour flight to SFO, San Francisco International Airport.
There is a happy ending to this though.
They made it to Hawaii at 2am, Hawaii time.
The moral of this blog post is this-.
No matter where your own 30 Plus Teams Tour takes you, please do your research before you travel, especially during this pandemic.
