Once again, it was a ride on the Nassau County bus to the incorporated village of Freeport , Long Island to run an errand.
As always, my little notebook or some kind of paper is with me so that I can think of other places to do a stay at home 30 Plus Teams Tour .
Yesterday, September 2nd, was no exception .
On other rides to Freeport , I noticed a park that’s right on the Freeport and Baldwin border.
There were Canadian Geese and Seagulls all over the place .
Now I should let you know that I don’t like birds.
I think I watched the Alfred Hitchcock movie, ‘The Birds’ a little too much.
If you’ve ever seen that movie, you have an idea what I’m talking about.
If you haven’t , rent that sucker. You’ll have the same reaction to birds that I have .
But I digress.
My visit to Milburn Pond Park, which is located on Milburn Road and Merrick Boulevard was very peaceful .
Yes, there were loads of birds, Canada Geese and seagulls around, but they didn’t bother me, and I sure wasn’t bothering them.
Although I must admit when they were flying around , I got nervous.
They landed in the water as if to say , ‘Sports Diva, we ain’t thinking about you . It’s hot, it’s humid, we need some water!’
I wasn’t the only one noticing how peaceful this little park is.
People were just relaxing, wearing their masks of course, and taking in this beautiful but humid day.
I’m glad I finally got the chance to see this park up close.

That movie gave me nightmares 😳

I still freak out when I see a whole lot of birds and Queens and Long Island have a lot of them.
