It seems as though the three of you have taken every subway line on your 30 Plus Teams Tour of New York City .
Not really .
Today you all are taking the train to 14th Street – Union Square .
This is the place where the first Labor Day Parade took place .
It’s also the place where , according to the reports of the day , a quarter of a million people showed up to voice their SUPPORT for the Civil War .
You figured that’s why there’s a statue of Abraham Lincoln in the square .
There’s also another statue of George Washington to the dismay of one of your cousins .
She’s looking at the statue of the first president that seems to take up most of Union Square Park .
George Washington seems to be everywhere in this city , so much so that you all are beginning to think that you’re in Washington DC , not New York City .
The statue of the president sitting on his horse is very impressive , though .
One of your cousins wants to take a selfie with it .
Or at least try to .
All three of you have to laugh as this statue seems to cut your cousin out of her own picture .
No matter how many selfies she takes , it looks as though she’s STILL not in the picture .
There seems to be a lot of of things going on in Union Square .
You see a Farmer’s Market , a dog park , not to mention all those shops and restaurants around the square .
The three of you go back to the subway and back to your hotel .
You might do something later , but you’re not sure what .
Your cousin did finally get that selfie by the way .
