You and your cousins are on your 30 Plus Teams Tour of New York City .
The three of you are going to do something you haven’t done yet .
You’ve been avoiding it.
But today , you’re going to get it over with .
You aren’t only going to see the Brooklyn Bridge close up or just stand on it.
Nope , today the three of you are going to really be brave and walk on it .
Or at least part of it.
The three of you have crossed the street and are now going up the walk way that leads up to the Brooklyn Bridge .
You are all surprised as you are walking to see the bridge not only full of cars and bikes , but there seems to be a lot of tourists and other New Yorkers jogging or walking on the bridge .
People from Brooklyn coming into the
city for work, seemed to use this bridge a lot and not take their cars or public transportation .
You all try to count the number of people in work clothes walking on this bridge .
New York City Hall is right across the street from the Brooklyn Bridge , so you imagine that’s where a lot of these people are going to .
You wonder why it took you so long to walk on this bridge , because the view of not only this bridge , but the Manhattan Bridge next to it , is really breathtaking .
But the three of you aren’t going to go crazy and walk all the way to the other side .
This is as far as you’re going to go, but technically , you are in Brooklyn , just not at the other end of the bridge, which is Brooklyn Bridge Park.
The three of you walk back into Manhattan , but first you have to take a picture to show the folks back home that the three of you were actually on the Brooklyn Bridge .
One of your cousins points to a sign that’s on the highway just as you get off the bridge .
“WELCOME TO MANHATTAN “.
You all did it.
The three of you actually walked on the Brooklyn Bridge from Manhattan to Brooklyn and back- sort of .
